The Cal Poly Veterinary Community Service Enterprise and Animal Science Lecturer Jennifer Staniec were selected to receive the Outstanding Campus-Community Collaboration award as part of the 35^th annual Cal Poly Community Service Awards. The award honors Staniec’s role in the Cal Poly Veterinary Community Service Enterprise, a student-run volunteer program that provides veterinary care to pets of the homeless. The enterprise provides Cal Poly students with an opportunity to serve in San Luis Obispo and have a lasting impact on a broad community population through their volunteer service.
