Cal Poly Dairy Products Judging Team Places Second
The Cal Poly Dairy Products Judging Team placed second overall at the 99th annual Collegiate Dairy Products Evaluation Contest on April 5 in Madison, Wisconsin.
The team consists of animal science major Ashley Andes-McCullough, dairy science majors Avery Orr and Bonney Shehadey, and agricultural science major Monica Novoa Diaz and is coached by Professor Vincent Yeung. Team members judged six categories of dairy products including milk, butter, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, yogurt, and ice cream based on flavor, texture, and appearance. Cal Poly finished second overall in the contest and won in the Ice Cream Team category.
