Trespassing at Livestock Units
A friendly reminder that visitors, including students, faculty and staff, are not allowed inside animal units – including fenced enclosures – without express permission. Faculty, staff and students are actively engaged in classes, labs and research as well as in the ongoing care of the college’s livestock and it is essential for the health and safety of all that outside exposure is limited. No trespassing signs are posted at all campus animal units making it clear where viewing can occur in a safe manner. Over the summer, a number of issues occurred, including a fishing lure left at one of the reservoirs that embedded in neck of one of the horses out to pasture and had to be surgically removed.
