Cal Poly students helped host the World of Pinot Noir Tech Symposium on Feb. 25-26, setting up the tasting mats and glassware, participating in tasting and critiquing of flights and talking with industry attendees. Thomas Houseman, general manager and winemaker at Radiant Wine Company, moderated the event. Students, alongside winemakers, participated in the tasting and critique of wines identified to have problems or defects from the 2024 vintage. 

Cal Poly worked in tandem with partners from the World of Pinot Noir, who organized the Tech Symposium in partnership with Cal Poly, including Coby Parker-Garcia from El Lugar Wines and Eric Johnson from Talley Vineyards.
