The application process is now open for the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences Senior Recognition Awards. These names will be listed in the Commencement Program and winners will be honored at the CAFES Leadership Award Banquet in May.

Graduating seniors may apply for more than one; however, students will only receive one award. Applications were emailed on April 4.  Deadline is noon on Monday, April 21, 2025; due electronically to Marnie Perry, mperry11@calpoly.edu.

The four areas you can be selected for are:

• CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COLLEGE: Special attention should be given to participation in departmental and/or college-wide clubs, committees, special projects, and to activities related to representing the College at the State or regional level through competitions, presentations, etc.
• CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY: Special attention should be given to the graduating senior who has made an outstanding contribution to the University as a whole.
• SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY: Although the person selected may be one who is also highly active in other areas of the University, service to the off-campus community is of greatest emphasis.
•  SERVICE TO DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (DEI): To further support Cal Poly’s commitment to Inclusive Excellence, CAFES works to enhance efforts in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
