The Organic Grower Summit, presented by Western Growers and Organic Produce Network, will be held Nov. 29-30 at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa in Monterey. Cal Poly Director for Organic Production and Research Matthew Grieshop will join the education session panel, which will focus on a systematic approach to managing pests in organic agricultural systems. The session will feature three industry experts, including Grieshop, discussing the ins and outs of organic pest management. The panel will be moderated by Gina Colfer, Sustainable Solutions PCA/CCA at Wilbur Ellis, and will include panelists Kim Horton, Agronomy Manager at Taylor Farms; Matthew Grieshop, Director for the Cal Poly Center for Organic Production and Research; and Jo Ann Baumgartner, Executive Director at Wild Farm Alliance.
