Aidan Fischer, a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in agriculture with a specialization in bioresource and agricultural systems, was selected as one of the recipients of the Presentation Excellence Award for outstanding presentation at the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers 2023 Annual International Meeting. This award recognizes the top 15% of student presentations that demonstrate excellence in content, delivery and impact.

His poster presentation was on: Automating Vegetable Harvesting: The Control Systems and Cutting Mechanism for Optimal Yield, a project funded by the Agricultural Research Institute.
